Savory Swiss Rolls

Ingredients:


Any left over paste like of sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan or of red pepper and non-dairy parmesan cheese can be used as a spread for that amazing taste.


Ingredients:

For the spread:

1. 4 cloves garlic
2. ½ cup pitted olives
3. 1 tbsp. olive oil
4. 1 tbsp. grated non-dairy parmesan
5. salt to taste

To make the rolls:

1. 4-5 slices of stale bread
2. 1 tbsp. olive oil

For the spread:

1. Put all the ingredients in a mortar and crush to a fine paste with the pestle.


To make the rolls:

1. Cut the sides of bread and roll each slice with a rolling pin.
2. Spread the paste nicely over a slice and roll it tightly.
3. Take a bread knife and cut the roll into ½ inch circle.
4. Prepare all the rolls like wise and cut into circles.
5. Toss the circles in olive oil and bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees centigrade for about 5 minutes.  Turn the circles and bake for another 5 minutes till crispy.
6. Serve as starters.
